Founded in 2001, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School (PKUSZ) is the only branch campus of Peking University, preserving the 120-year-old legacy of the university endures. PKUSZ recognizes the importance of its location and seeks to link its research and teaching to the vast resources of the Greater Bay Area. Our nine schools, as well as a great number of centers, labs, and programs convene experts across the world to explore new intellectual frontiers and pioneer the discoveries. AI Science

School of AI for Science

Established in 2025 at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, the School of AI for Science represents a strategic initiative by Peking University to address the scientific and industrial transformations of the intelligence era. As the world’s first higher education institution to establish AI for Science as an academic discipline, the School is dedicated to advancing the deep integration of artificial intelligence and fundamental sciences. It focuses on developing a dual-track mentorship system, pioneering a research paradigm that merges scientific first principles with big data, and fostering an open and collaborative innovation ecosystem. Through these efforts, the School aims to nurture the next generation of talent equipped with interdisciplinary expertise, a global perspective, and strong innovative capabilities.

Electronic

School of Electronic and Computer Engineering

The School of Electronic and Computer Engineering (SECE) was founded in 2002, and it is the earliest school in PKUSZ. SECE inherits the academic traditions of Peking University and takes the advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, explores the new school-running mode that integrates education, academia research and industry.

SECE is devoted to the post-graduate education in electronics and computation. SECE has about 100 faculty and staff members and more than 570 Master’s and PhD students. More than 2500 graduates are playing active roles in industry and academia.

We Are Recruiting in Three Core Disciplines:

  • Integrated Circuit Science and Engineering

Focus Areas: Full Professor or Tenure-track Assistant Professor in analog circuit design, Micro/Nano Electronic Devices, or Electronic Design Automation.

  • Computer Science and Technology

Focus Areas: Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Video and Audio Processing, XR/3D Media processing, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Haptic information processing, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics.

  • Communication and Information System

Focus Areas: Full Professor or Tenure-track Assistant Professor in wireless communication, intelligent communication, internet of things, radio frequency devices.

The information science is the key development discipline for the Shenzhen campus of Peking University, according to the consensus of Peking University and the Shenzhen Government. SECE is steadily advancing towards the goal of a world-class information engineering college.
